Our Mission
The Creative Law Society aims to integrate innovative thought
and creative
experience into everyday life at Boalt.
We offer:
- Networking and support to law students with creative
backgrounds or interests
- Events including "Boalt Outside the
Box" -- talks and workshops by professionals from various disciplines
on creativity and the law -- and opportunities for Boalt students to
figure out how the law (or ast least law students) can be more creative.
- Connections to alumni and
employers in creative areas of the law, including intellectual property
and arts and entertainment
The Creative Law Society seeks to cultivate future lawyers’
unique
problem-solving abilities, empowering us to serve as better advocates
and
leaders while staying creatively engaged during our adventure at Boalt.

About Us
The members of CLS have played concerts, written poems and
books, cooked gourmet meals, traveled to faraway countries, authored
code, designed
this, appeared in that, and spent plenty of time of time looking like
we're slacking while in fact cooking up our next great ideas.
We believe you can keep doing all these things and still go to
law school. We even believe it will help you succeed.
